Newcomers Club
Welcome to Mankato, Minnesota
If you are looking to make new friends and learn more about your new community this is the club for you. We are an active group of approximately 30 households that have been in the area less than 5 years. We plan events ranging from childrens events to adult socials--there is something for everyone. Our mission is to help all individuals new to the community build a network of long term friends.
What We Do
Each month we plan a range of activities. We encourage new members to come to two events before deciding to join, and we don't ask you to pay dues until your third event. There are several events that happen regularly:
- Childrens events
- Book clubs
- Adult socials
- Family socials
In addition, we often have a ladies coffee, ladies or mens lunch, game night, golf and other activities that vary from month to month. Several special events are planned throughout the year such as our fall chili cook-off, December holiday party, chocolates and champagne meeting in February, and progressive dinner in the spring.
The Mankato Area Newcomers Club has been extremely successful in providing new residents an opportunity to cultivate new friendships and set roots in the community.
